Well everyone, this is the hotel that will accomodate us for our 2007 family reunion! Please review information below on this hotel.
Group rate: 1-4 people per room at a rate of $89/night plus 10% tax. Everyone will need to call the hotel at the number provided on this page and make your reservations under the Chambers-Wells family reunion (it is important that everyone calls this number instead of Central Reservations for us to get the "family reunion" rate). Also, you are not required to pay anything when you call to make your reservations. However, the hotel must receive a deposit for the first night's room and tax on or before May 31, 2007 and the final payment is due by August 1, 2007.
Food: The hotel offers a complimentary deluxe continental breakfast daily from 5:30 am to 10:00 am (this includes waffles, too!). There is also a 24-hour IHOP on the property and a McDonald's next to the property. Other nearby restaurants are listed on the 'Restaurants' page so check it out.
Amenities: All guest rooms have an iron/board, hair dryer, coffee maker, pay per view movies/Nintendo, 54 channel cable TV w/HBO, free local calls, high speed Internet service, refridgerator, microwave, and a daily newspaper available at the front desk.
Additional conveniences the hotel offers includes a fitness room, outdoor pool, laundry facilities, and 24-hour shuttle service to and from the airport and MARTA station.
Banquet hall: The hotel does have a banquet hall with a stage and can also be arranged to have a dancefloor. We will have a small play area set up in the banquet hall for the "little ones", as well. By the time of the family reunion there will be a newly-opened hotel restaurant/bar connecting to banquet hall.
The costs of hotel accomodations and food will all be included in the family reunion package, which is detailed on the 'Registration' page. So that information as well as when payments will be collected will be published soon...so keep checking back! The goal is to have fundraisers to help offset some of the costs of the reunion. So if anyone has any ideas of ways to raise money, please share them!
